Fort Lee Public Library’s New York Times digital subscription provides ongoing access the New York Times from any of our 14 reference computers, as well as from patron devices registered with our complementary 72 hour pass. Click the link and create an account for access.

You’ll be able to read articles and blog posts, as well as video, slide shows and other multimedia features. This includes the latest content and news as well as limited access to articles from 1851 to the present day. There is no limit on how many codes you can use, so you can keep coming back to get more content!

Ancestry

Ancestry.com Library Edition gives access to billions of names in thousands of genealogical databases including Census and Vital Records, birth, marriage and death notices, the Social Security Death Index, Passenger lists and naturalizations, Military and Holocaust Records, City Directories, and more. Available from Library computers or on our Wi-Fi network.

Brainfuse HelpNow

HelpNow provides differentiated learning solutions for students of diverse needs and backgrounds. Students communicate with live, online tutors using an interactive, virtual whiteboard to chat, write, draw, copy/paste text or images and graph homework problems. HelpNow also offers skills building and test preparation where after taking a quiz, the user can then connect directly to a live tutor to review the topics and questions covered in the quiz.

HelpNow also gives students access to the Writing Lab and Send Question Center. These options give users the freedom to receive assistance at any time of the day without connecting with a live tutor. Users can submit papers through the Writing Lab for detailed feedback. The Send Question Center is for non-writing assignments such as math or science.

Heritage Quest Online is a genealogical database that allows researchers to search U.S. Federal Census records, digitized family and local history books, Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Application Files and the Freedman’s Bank Records (1865-1874), maps, and a wealth of other historical collections and research guides.  The New Jersey State Library is offering this service to New Jersey Residents without a library card.
