POSITION 1:
Position Offered:  Part-time Children’s Services Library Assistant
Posting Date: March 21, 2024
Start Date: On or about April 30, 2024
Hours:  Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9am-2pm, Friday 10am-2pm; flexibility to cover other shifts as needed
Education: 4 year degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Experience: 2 years public library experience, preferred
Compensation: $20 per hour

Job Summary:
The Fort Lee Public Library, serving two culturally diverse communities of 40,000, seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic Children’s Services Department. The qualified candidate should have a strong interest in and experience with programming, literature and services for children.  A proactive nature and knack for creative problem solving are essential.  Knowledge of children’s literature and experience running children’s programs ages 0 to 6; storytime experience, is preferred.

POSITION 2:
Position Offered: PT Reference Librarian
Posting Date: March 21, 2024
Start Date: On or about April 30, 2024
Hours:  Monday 5pm-9pm & rotating Sundays 10am-2pm; flexibility to cover other shifts as needed
Education: MLS/MLIS; New Jersey Professional Librarian’s Certificate; matriculated MLS/MLIS students will be considered
Experience: Minimum 2 years professional public library experience, preferred
Compensation:  $35/hr for candidates with preferred education and experience; minimum $22/hr for MLS/MLIS matriculated student candidates based on education and experience
