Volunteer tutors work with groups of 4-12 students for 90 minutes/week during the semester. You can select the day and time that works best for you. We match students and tutors based on availability and student level.
Most classes take place in-person at the library. Zoom classes are held where there is student interest and tutor availability.
All tutors participate in a 10-hour training workshop. No formal teaching or foreign language experience is required. All we ask is for a one-year commitment and the desire to help residents of our community!
Classes range in size from 4 – 12 students. Due to the size of our program, the library does not offer one-on-one instruction.
To volunteer as an ESL tutor, please complete the application form. We will contact you to schedule an interview.
