LIBRARY SERVICES FOR THE ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS COMMUNITY

We warmly welcome residents of Englewood Cliffs to register for a Fort Lee Library card* which will provide the following:

  • Access to FLPL seven days a week year-round
  • FLPL’s collection of over 100,000 books and media for all ages. This includes 15,000 items from world language collections in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish for adults and children.
  • Ability to reserve all Fort Lee items. When FLPL does not own an item, we normally purchase it for the collection or place a request through JerseyCat, a statewide interlibrary loan program
  • Borrowing of passes from our Museum Pass Program (includes Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Frick Collection, Guggenheim, Intrepid, MOMA, NY Historical Society, Storm King Art Center, Jewish Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art). Most of these passes can be reserved and borrowed digitally
  • Books On Wheels–a free delivery service available to Englewood Cliffs residents who are unable to travel to the Library due to illness or disability
  • Multicultural staff who speak a variety of languages including Albanian, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Korean, and Spanish
  • Participation in Summer Reading Programs for children, teens and adults
  • Personalized school visits provided by our Youth Services Department either at the Library or at the school
  • Access to children’s programs including weekly Storytimes, crafts, book clubs, STEM instruction, coding, cultural classes, and more
  • Access to teen programs including college prep workshops, video and board gaming, hands-on creative activities, and community service opportunities
  • Access to a dedicated space for middle and high school students during after school hours for studying and socializing
  • Access to adult programs including musical concerts, lectures, career support, computer classes, health & wellness, language series, books groups, crafts, etc.
  • Access to the Library seven days a week.

*Your Library Card is for use at the Fort Lee Public Library only and is not valid for online subscriptions and eResources provided by BCCLS (Bergen County Cooperative Library System).

To register for a library card, you will need to provide proof of Englewood Cliffs residency, with one of the following showing a Englewood Cliffs address:

  • A valid New Jersey driver’s license
  • A bank statement
  • A credit card bill
  • A rental lease
  • A tax bill
