Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

Fahrenheit 451 is a fictitious story about a guy who intentionally starts fires and burns books, which is ironic given the title. Guy Montag was the individual’s name, and he had a fantastic life, a lovely wife, a lot of money, and a career that he enjoyed. All of that changes when he has a run-in with a teenage girl. When he meets her, he discovers the realities of his corrupt environment. As a consequence of this insight, he reads one of the prohibited books that he was meant to burn and discovers what the government is attempting to conceal from the public by burning the books. Guy soon aspires to flee his corrupt environment, but the question is where he will go. And will he be able to trust anyone?

I like Fahrenheit 451 because it makes me wonder how we would be now if its plot were to be enacted in our culture. Furthermore, this is a charming book since it allows us to investigate belief systems other than our own, whether fiction or nonfiction.
