House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland
Review of House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland
Throughout my time as a reader, I’ve learned that romantic subplots can take over the potential in an otherwise amazing book. However, House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland does not do that. The book has a perfect balance of romantic subplot and the main plot of the story. Iris Hollow, and her two sisters, Vivi and Grey Hollow, are strange. They know that they are strange. But now, Iris has a thirst to figure out what is really up with them. Grey goes missing, and throughout the quest to find her, Vivi and Iris uncover things about Grey and themselves that they never would’ve known. Grey is shown as picture perfect in the book, like many main characters, but she has dark secrets. While this is quite a cliche character plot, the secrets and the character make it unique. This does have some language, so it is very much appropriate that it is YA. There are also some sensitive topics, but otherwise, an amazing book that I highly recommend. It was impossible to put down, in full truth.
